I'm not usually prone to making these types of comparisons -- because I don't really believe the old adage that "history repeats itself", but I do think we can draw lessons from the past to help us better understand the present. In this regard I think the 1930's in Europe is informative about the dangers of the rise of "Authoritarianism". 2019 has been an interesting ride so far. The Snowpocalypse really messed up my flow -- and has really meant some significant changes to try to get ready for the AP Exam. We have only 37 class days left until then -- two in class exams and the Final Exam at the end of April (see calendar) will hopefully give people a good idea of how prepared they are.
A few more weeks to really focus and then we can take things a bit slower as we enjoy classes until July. |
